| SUMMERSTAGE
NOVA: Ages 7-12
Summerstage Nova is designed for children ages 7 to 12. In a well
structured, fun and nurturing environment, young people enjoy workshops,
lead by a professional staff, in Acting, Playwriting, Dance and
Singing. Nova culminates with performances of original short plays
written by the Summerstagers and a fully-staged production performed
on the Stageworks Mainstage.
SUMMERSTAGE ARTS INTENSIVE:
Ages 13-17
Summerstage Arts Intensive is structured for young people between
the ages of 13 and 17. Participants collaborate daily with their
peers and professional theater artists, focusing on Playwriting,
Acting, Dance, Singing and Design. Arts Intensive culminates with
a fully-staged production, performed on the Stageworks Mainstage,
written by the Summerstagers and staff.
SUMMERSTAGE 2008 SCHEDULE
Both programs begin on Monday, June 30 with a final performance
on Saturday, July 12. Except for the performance day, hours are
9am to 2pm. Note: The program will NOT be in session on July 4th
or July 6th.

FACTS
No previous theater experience is required. Health forms, car pooling
opportunities, and all other related program materials and information
will be sent prior to the opening day of the program. Scholarship

SUMMERSTAGE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
David Tass Rodriguez is a professional actor and director.
He holds a BFA in Acting from The Conservatory of Theater Arts &
Film at SUNY Purchase. David is an alumnus of New York State Summer
School of the Arts and was a staff member of the Annandale Troupe,
a summer Shakespeare program for young people, for several years. |
